About OutsourceCompass
OutsourceCompass exists because most advice about outsourcing is written to sell you something first and help you second. We flip that order.
This site publishes practical guides for founders, marketers, and small teams who want to hand off work to freelancers — without overpaying, getting templated junk, or spending more time managing the task than it would take to do it. We write about what's worth delegating, what a fair price looks like, how to brief work so it comes back right the first time, and which platforms fit which kinds of projects.
What we believe
- Outsourcing is a skill, not a shortcut. The buyers who get great freelance results aren't lucky — they define tasks clearly, know the going rates, and give feedback that's specific. All of that is learnable, and it's what we teach.
- Honest numbers beat hype. Our guides include real price ranges and the reasons behind them, including when the answer is "don't outsource this."
- The freelancer's side matters. Good outcomes come from fair briefs, fair budgets, and fair reviews. Advice that treats freelancers as vending machines produces bad results for everyone.
How we make money
Some links on OutsourceCompass are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up or purchase through them — at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never determine what we recommend: we say when the cheap option is the right option, and when a platform or price tier is the wrong fit. You can read the full details in our Affiliate Disclosure.
