Links from our guides to freelance marketplaces and related services — including platforms such as Fiverr — may be affiliate links. Where a specific partnership is active, clicking the link may set a tracking cookie that attributes your later purchase to this site.
How affiliate relationships affect our content
They don't decide it — and we can point to the evidence in our own guides:
- We recommend not outsourcing certain tasks at all, and say so explicitly.
- We compare platforms honestly, including platforms we have no financial relationship with, and we recommend proposal-based or premium platforms when they're the better fit for a project.
- We publish realistic price guidance that often steers readers toward spending less than they planned.
Our editorial rule is simple: every recommendation must be one we would make to a friend with no commission involved. Affiliate income pays for the time it takes to research and write these guides — it does not buy placement or positive coverage. We do not publish sponsored posts and we do not accept payment for reviews.
What we receive
When affiliate partnerships are active, we receive commissions on qualifying sign-ups or purchases, and anonymized aggregate reporting (clicks, conversions). We never receive your name, payment details, or purchase contents from affiliate partners.
